How to Book Your Driving Test at Featherstone

  1. Ensure Eligibility

    • You must have passed your theory test.

    • Ensure you’ve lived in the UK, EU, EEA, Switzerland, or the Overseas Territories for at least 185 days in the last 12 months before your test date.

  2. Gather Required Information

    • Valid UK driving licence number.

    • Credit or debit card for payment.

    • Driving instructor’s personal reference number (if you wish to check their availability).

  3. Book Online

    • Visit the official DVSA booking portal: book-driving-test.

    • Select Featherstone as your preferred test centre.

    • Choose a suitable date and time.

  4. Book by Phone (Optional)

    • Call the DVSA booking line at 0300 200 1122 (available Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm).

  5. Prepare for the Test

    • The test lasts approximately 40 minutes and includes:

      • An eyesight check.

      • ‘Show me, tell me’ vehicle safety questions.

      • General driving, including independent driving.

      • A reversing manoeuvre.

    • Ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and has L-plates displayed.

  6. Test Day
